Column 1 | ![]() Thomas R. "Randy" Morrison passed away in January 2022 suddenly at age 53. While emptying a storage locker he had been renting, his family discovered the fiberglass mold of his last major work, a magnificent figurative sculpture depicting the goddess Venus, asleep but seemingly beginning to drift away on her dreams. It is a dramatic and moving sculpture reminiscent of the work of Randy's hero Auguste Rodin. After discussions with a core group of some of the people who loved him most, it was decided to form a team with the goal of having Randy's masterpiece cast in bronze and displayed in Coliseum Square Park, in the New Orleans neighborhood where Randy lived for 25 years. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Thomas R. Morrison Public Art Projects, has been formed to manage the project, which means that all donations are tax-deductible. If you would like to commemorate Randy's life and work, please consider a donation to this project in his memory. Love and thanks to all.
